Commercial Implications

To the ones who make he commercial, it is worth it. To the ones who watch it, they can see it as outrageous or incredibly stupid. Which side I am on, I cannot decide. One part of me says it's the viewers fault for being so gullible towards commercial advertisement. He says that if they want to buy some pointless product instead of buying something that has importance and significance, then that is their own stupidity and they should be looked down upon for not using their brain. Another part of me says that it's good that they buy those products. He also says it's fun to see the commercials during super bowls to see what entertaining ideas the companies can come up with. He enjoys seeing either the comically stupid and funny commercials, as well as the animated ones because of all the colors and magnificent ideas the companies use to endorse their products. I, on the other hand, find these commercials neither great or stupid. I just think they are there to get people to buy, as well as inform them of a wide span of products that they could either want or ignore. It's not necessarily stupid to buy the products, but it is still stupid. But at least they are making a living with the money they earn for spending so much money to begin with. If people want to pay tons of money to get their commercials on during the super bowl, then fine. They are free to do as they may. As for how much money is spent during the super bowl NOW compared to the past, it's easy to explain. In the past lots of people were active, so the super bowl wasn't such a big deal. But now, so many people are becoming lazy and do not wish to play sports, so instead, they wait for the biggest sport day of all for the national lazy-guy-sits-on-couch-and-watches sport, football. Since we live in an age of lazy people who prefer watching others be active, the super bowl is the best day to take advantage of them. Therefore, people spend more money now then in the past, because there is more of a population to entertain and persuade.
